Recent events, including calling Canada the 51st state, taking Greenland, taking Panama, renaming a body of water, come off as arrogant for a country that has been in decline. So does a church that will not face its sin or pretends it has no problems with sexual sin, all while proclaiming to “schedule a revival,” which occur in God’s timing and God’s ways – with ongoing, fervent prayer and the confession of sin, not a polished speaker giving a sermon on it.
