While teaching yesterday, I stumbled across one of the most interesting things EVER. The schwa and the importance of it! I first came across this while teaching a doctor a few months ago, and of course, three months later, I found another interesting feature regarding it, so I had to break this down in micro. Not sure if I've gone over the ə before or not, but it's time to get back into it!Blog: http://thearseniobuckshow.com/2018/07/21/arsenios-esl-podcast-season-2-episode-18-pronunciation-skill-the-schwa/Podcast on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/7hdzplWx6xB8mhwDJYiP6f?si=5vUca3p2QGuWPZbhzCRwBwPodcast on FM: https://player.fm/series/2288534Podcast on TuneIn: https://tunein.com/podcasts/Language-Learning-Podcasts/Arsenios-ESL-p1117391/Podcast on ListenNote: https://www.listennotes.com/c/778cf3cfd2564ba5b01f693bfebc96de/arsenio-s-esl-podcast/Podcast on CastBox: https://castbox.fm/channel/Arsenio's-ESL-Podcast-id1251433?country=usFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/Arseniobuck/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIzp4EdbJVMhhSnq_0u4ntAWebsite: https://thearseniobuckshow.com/Q & A: [email protected]: https://www.linkedin.com/in/arsenio-buck-9692a6119/Support the show

I've gone over some useful vocabulary in terms of talking about television (it's possible that you could be asked a question in regards to watching television on your IELTS examination), and I've come across some very useful vocabulary and adjectives that relate to television writing. So, let's get into it!Blog: http://thearseniobuckshow.com/2018/07/19/arsenios-esl-podcast-season-2-episode-17-vocabulary-television/Podcast on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/7hdzplWx6xB8mhwDJYiP6f?si=5vUca3p2QGuWPZbhzCRwBwPodcast on FM: https://player.fm/series/2288534Podcast on TuneIn: https://tunein.com/podcasts/Language-Learning-Podcasts/Arsenios-ESL-p1117391/Podcast on ListenNote: https://www.listennotes.com/c/778cf3cfd2564ba5b01f693bfebc96de/arsenio-s-esl-podcast/Podcast on CastBox: https://castbox.fm/channel/Arsenio's-ESL-Podcast-id1251433?country=usFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/Arseniobuck/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIzp4EdbJVMhhSnq_0u4ntAWebsite: https://thearseniobuckshow.com/Q & A: [email protected]: https://www.linkedin.com/in/arsenio-buck-9692a6119/Support the show

Shopping, especially in NES countries, could be easy (but most people make it difficult). Know your simple phrases, have good ethics, and always put whatever you pick up back. Very very important. So, with that being said, let's go over some useful expressions that will help you while shopping. Yes/no questions have rising intonation. This means the voice rises on the last stressed syllable and then keeps on rising until the end of the sentence. Sometimes, the last stressed syllable is the last word of the sentence. Wh- questions have a rising-falling intonation. The voice goes up on the last stressed syllable and then goes down. I remember doing this particular exercise with some students on an evening back in 2014. For the first time, I looked lost while teaching. They were asking me about auxiliary verbs and I had not a clue what they were. After a few months, I learned a lot about grammar and how to teach it, but present perfect in the beginning was a pain in the BEHIND! Let's get into it!Blog: http://thearseniobuckshow.com/2018/07/12/arsenios-esl-podcast-season-2-episode-13-grammar-present-perfect-ever-never/Podcast on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/7hdzplWx6xB8mhwDJYiP6f?si=5vUca3p2QGuWPZbhzCRwBwPodcast on FM: https://player.fm/series/2288534Podcast on TuneIn: https://tunein.com/podcasts/Language-Learning-Podcasts/Arsenios-ESL-p1117391/Podcast on ListenNote: https://www.listennotes.com/c/778cf3cfd2564ba5b01f693bfebc96de/arsenio-s-esl-podcast/Podcast on CastBox: https://castbox.fm/channel/Arsenio's-ESL-Podcast-id1251433?country=usFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/Arseniobuck/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIzp4EdbJVMhhSnq_0u4ntAWebsite: https://thearseniobuckshow.com/Q & A: [email protected]: https://www.linkedin.com/in/arsenio-buck-9692a6119/Support the show

Making suggestions and plans can ultimately lead to confusion amongst the ESL population. I've seen Colombians, Indians and Japanese get into a shouting match because one didn't understand the plans of the other. There are lots of different expressions you can use, but asking about plans and dealing with suggestions could be critical in a lot of situations. Here are some ways you can do it!Blog:Podcast on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/7hdzplWx6xB8mhwDJYiP6f?si=5vUca3p2QGuWPZbhzCRwBwPodcast on FM: https://player.fm/series/2288534Podcast on TuneIn: https://tunein.com/podcasts/Language-Learning-Podcasts/Arsenios-ESL-p1117391/Podcast on ListenNote: https://www.listennotes.com/c/778cf3cfd2564ba5b01f693bfebc96de/arsenio-s-esl-podcast/Podcast on CastBox: https://castbox.fm/channel/Arsenio's-ESL-Podcast-id1251433?country=usFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/Arseniobuck/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIzp4EdbJVMhhSnq_0u4ntAWebsite: https://thearseniobuckshow.com/Q & A: [email protected]: https://www.linkedin.com/in/arsenio-buck-9692a6119/Support the show

This is my official rebrand.
My journey as a TOEFL iBT coach has come to a powerful close, and with it, the era of TOEFL-focused podcasts. What began as a mission to help students pass…
Welcome to the next chapter: High Performance Coaching.
This journey didn’t begin today. It began on January 3rd, 2016, when I made a decision that would forever change the trajectory of my life. Immersing myself in Napoleon Hill’s Law of Success, Jack Canfield’s Success Principles, and Lisa Nichols’ Abundance Now, I found the mindset and tools that helped me rise above the vehement and relentless racial discrimination I faced in this country. Those challenges did not break me — they built me.
In 2017, I made one of the most courageous decisions of my life: I walked away from a toxic job at New Education World in Future Park Rangsit. That leap of faith led to the creation of this very podcast on March 27th, 2018.
From ESL beginnings to TOEFL iTP episodes in 2019, and eventually into the TOEFL iBT space, what followed was an unbelievable 5.5-year journey. I built my own online business from the ground up and helped propel hundreds — perhaps even thousands — of students toward success. Watching others achieve their dreams became one of the greatest honors of my life.
But growth demands evolution.
As the TOEFL episodes began to slow, something remarkable happened — my coaching episodes surged. More listeners tuned in. More lives were impacted. The message was clear: this is where I am meant to go next.
High performance is no longer just something I teach — it is the life I live.
Later this year, I will take another major step forward by earning my license from Burke and Isobel in South Africa to become a licensed transformation coach. Soon after, I will continue my expansion through the High Performance Coaching program with Brendon Burchard.
Because this mission is not about helping someone pass a test.
It’s about helping people redesign their lives.
It’s about resilience, courage, reinvention, and stepping into the person you were always meant to become.
And now — you are stepping into this new phase with me.
At some point, there will be programs and products designed to accelerate your growth. But first, I am committed to becoming the very best transformation coach I can possibly be — because you deserve nothing less.
If you feel called to grow…
If you are ready to challenge your limits…
If you know you are meant for more…
You are in the right place.
Leave a like, subscribe, send fan mail, and even consider supporting the podcast — and most importantly, embark with me on this unbelievable journey.
This is only the beginning.
