Get ready to conga to the coffin cause this week we're talking about death and art! If art has taught us anything, it is that humans are obsessed with death (always have been and probably always will be). The sisters discuss bubbles as omens of death, death photography and mourning jewelry (which is possibly Laura's least favorite thing ever) among other forms of momento mori art. But seriously, this episode gets creepy so be warned!!

This week Art Club is going hella metal and looking at some Viking art! We are taking a dive into runestones which are either the OG war memorials or very large obituaries. The sisters spoil the show "Vikings" and discover the ultimate pantie-dropper name: Runemaster Bloodaxe. But remember that while runestones are about a dead person, they're really about who made them.

Art Club would like to introduce the oldest (and coolest) known textile: felt! This week we're going on a journey where we learn that felt is a big big deal from its origins to its many varied uses by modern-day artists. Ann sees camels in a whole new light and Laura promises that she knows the difference between felt and foam (seriously, she does). But the biggest take-away this week is that you can light anything on fire if you want it enough.

Knots or nothing baby! This week Art Club is checking out knot art from macrame to forensic knotting. The sisters plan a macrame themed Met Gala, meet zombi William III, reminisce about friendship bracelets and heavily discuss sailor macrame circles. Ann gets very impressed with Laura's writing and we get a little deep. Also there are many many puns, it's just too easy. Why knot!

You don't find grit son, you earn it!! We are Art Club and this week, we're looking at another method of printmaking: lithography (aka stone mark)! The sisters make a brief stop at the Moulin Rouge, pick their mascot (welcome the Art Club Levigators) and decided that printmaking is most definitely not an art form for the procrastinator. Also, Ann has found the new Spice Girls and Laura becomes a 1940's detective. Get ready for the most fun you've ever had in your life!

Constant vigilance, CONSTANT! Welcome to Art Club where Laura illegally sets off fireworks, time is an illusion and Ann is feeling weird (but hopes you still want to be friends). This week, the sisters look at fireworks from their history to their use in contemporary art. The sisters require no unnecessary noise during their newest reality competition show: Firemasters but there will sound effects in case you forgot how fireworks sound.

Paint a picture, it'll last longer! This week Art Club has a mini art history lesson as we look at the goddess Venus in western art from antiquity to today. The sisters marvel at the soap opera that is mythology, learn that word choice really is crucial and look for that classic gothic curve (you know where her limbs are too long but in a hot way). Oh and there is more Titan, hallelujah!

Welcome to a very special episode of Art Club where you get to meet the cast! Ann and Laura decide to take a break and shoot the shit with a little Q&A. The sisters Perry answer your burning questions such as...what would we name out boat? What is our mythical creature of choice? Which painting would we like to be trapped in? What are our favorite (and least favorite) art mediums? You may not have asked, but we're gonna answer!

Robins! Paint! Stat! Art Club's second minisode is a follow-up to our Coloring Books episode (so check them both out). We learn about the paint-by-numbers craze which was inspired by THE Leonardo Da Vinci and was a part of the first colored picture of Mars. Laura and Ann go on a small EDM DJ tangent but mostly we just want to let the people paint and have a good time damn it!
