We discuss what the project did for artists, the art made under the FAP and of course the three R's: reduce, reuse, recycle, rest, relaxation, Rihanna. Ann just likes being bitter, Laura gets a new nickname (Spooky Perry) and the sisters accept their monotone ways. Also we're thinking of renaming, "A New Art Fun Thing the Podcast", perfect right?

Calling all friends, enemies...anyone really! Did you know you can win a grammy for cover art? Cause we sure didn't. This week we discuss the all-important album cover art from the history of records all the way up to our teenage love for Avril Lavigne. The sisters try to understand the Youths, get curious about becoming the creative of directors of Tucson (seriously how do we get this job) and of course the Nazca Lines are involved. We're back with more haute couture and knock-off Swarovski crystals! This week we look at even more collections from the Spring 2020 couture show from Chanel to Valentino to Zuhair Murad in part II of our first two-part episode. We have finally accepted that we just love opulence, we get a little My Fair Lady with some awful English accents (sorry 'bout it) and if you listen long enough you'll get to hear the sisters getting real weird. C'mon down to JoAnne's Fabrics for all your couture needs! We are delving into one of our favorite things: haute couture! We start with a little history and then discusses some of the collections from the Spring 2020 couture fashion show. We look at henna all over the world from its uses in weddings, religious ceremonies and even social media. The song of this week comes from Fiddler on the Roof. We also learn that peacocks can kill snakes, Ann's best skill on her resume is crying and that you and your horse can get matching henna (finally)!

Neon signs, the coolest art form that might kill you! Art Club is going full Americana and talking about the bright history of neon! We look at all the neon in our beloved Tucson, check out neon in a gallery setting and discuss how EVERYTHING is design. Laura and Ann giggle at the term butt-welding, sing a short verse of "I've Got a Golden Ticket" (told you it was a trend) and gush over the "open" sign.

Acrylic paint is changing the game! This week we're blessin' the rains down in Africa and looking at some stunning house adornment. We drool over the work of the Southern Ndebele people, the Gurunsi people and the Basotho people. The best part is how they are bringing their traditional art styles into new mediums and the modern world! Laura tells us about the terror of wild carrots, we discuss how ancient aliens are real (no Ann is not obsessed) and there is far too much singing (which is becoming a trend, sorry)!
