What is your Love Language?

I show Love through Acts of Service

And this project was certainly a service.

Mom and I had a convo about control issues and I was able to tap into her need to control things by pulling us out of the dialogue about what needed to be controlled… a said I felt like the fence… it pulled her viewpoint from looking at the control dynamics between the two of us and offered her a less personal perspective.

Mom, I am the Fence, moldy, worn out, broken, and splintered in many places, let me give myself a makeover.

I’m sure many of you have heard of Love Languages and how we like to give and also how we receive love.

Gail Benedict received her B.F.A. in Theatre and Dance from the California Institute of the Arts; earning  her M.F.A. in Directing and Choreography from the University of Louisville. 

Ms. Benedict danced with several renowned modern and ballet companies in San Francisco and Los Angeles before beginning her Broadway Musical Theatre career in New York City as assistant choreographer to her mentor, Donald McKayle. 

She spent more than twenty years performing leading roles in Broadway shows, film, television, national/international tours and Music Videos while continually studying with all the most respected acting, voice and dance instructors in the world. 

Before relocating to Louisville to work at Actors’ Theatre she spent six years assisting Bob Fosse and recreating his international hit show, Dancin’. She continues to direct, choreograph, perform and teach professionally throughout the United States and recently retired as the chair of the nationally recognized Musical Theatre Program at the Youth Performing Arts School in Louisville, Kentucky.

Taoism is a philosophical concept that has offered fundamental guidance for individuals around the world. 

Through studying the importance of gentle leadership and community outreach the following sound clip has guided the key principals and stepping stones for the creation of the COSMIC FLOW STUDIO. 

Currently, Studio Space serves as a website and the building lives in my imagination; my hope is to see it take shape within the next 5 years. 

The details are like water, fluid, and ever-flowing.

A conversation with my mother Susan M. Stiles who shares excerpts from a journal she uncovered from her adopted father Raymond E. Stiles he called, NEUROTRANSMITTER MADNESS. In this journal he writes:

Paul Matthew Lopez is a professional Actor, Acrobat, Clown, and High Wire Walker. He is an original cast member of the ‘Best-show-on-the-Strip' ABSINTHE at Caesars Palace. There he created and performed as Fat Frank in the finale High Wire act the ‘Frat Pack.’ After receiving his BFA from The Chicago College of the Performing Arts at Roosevelt University Theater Conservatory, he attended Dell’arte International School of Physical and Ensemble Theater. Paul continued his physical education joining the Meirmanov Sports Acrobatics, U.S. Men’s-4 National Team, where he learned hand to hand, tumbling, acrobatics, juggling, Free- Standing Ladder, Teeterboard and more. Paul was a member of the World Renowned Wallenda Family, performing the Seven-Man Pyramid on the High Wire at 30 feet without a net. He has clowned with theatre and circus companies such as 500 Clown, CircEsteem Ensemble, The Midnight Circus, Cirque De La Mer at Sea World San Diego, The Yankee Doodle Circus, Circus Sarasota, The Actors Gymnasium, and the Zoppe Family Circus. He has performed in the prestigious Goodman Theater, with the critically acclaimed Lookingglass Theatre Company in the Greek Mythological Circus, ‘Hephaestus.’ He is also a Teacher and Director of Clown and Circus, teaching kids with out-reach programs such as CircEsteem in Chicago, and at universities, including Northwestern University, Columbia College, and his alma mater, Roosevelt University’s Theatre Conservatory.

Paul is also a professional actor, and producer, and can been seen in films such as ‘The Return of Johnny V’ ‘Gino’s Wife’ ‘The Margarita Man’ ‘Colossal Youth’ and ‘Teenage Girl; Valery’s Holiday’ which are currently available in International, Internet and Domestic Markets. www.PaulMatthewLopez.com
