BILLY SHEEHAN | Artist Rewind

Formed in the early ‘70s and dissolved in 1985, TALAS may have never reached arena-headlining status, but they were an integral part of the early ‘80s hard rock scene, and their long-awaited return does not disappoint.

We wanted a snapshot of our musical life from 1985," explains Sheehan. "It's the same spirit, mostly the same people, and it's bringing the ‘80s into 2022. The ‘80s were an amazing time for music and bands, and we were all excited to go back to that, and I would say the record is raw, real, honest, and exhilarating."

TALAS is back with the release of their new album 1985,

Rachel Bolan of Skid Row "The Gangs All Here!

Skid Row are out to reclaim their turf as kings of hard rock and proclaim, “The Gang’s All Here”!

“The Gang’s All Here” is an oath to joy triumphant, bursting with euphoric energy that makes us hunger for more. It is the logical next-generation leap of the band’s trademark sound which stomps out new ground with singer Erik Grönwall (formerly of H.E.A.T, one of the best frontmen of this or any hard rock era) joining the family.

Produced by Nick Raskulinecz, long-time fan and much in-demand producer (Foo Fighters, Rush, Alice In Chains, Halestorm, Evanescence), Skid Row are ablaze. They are re-energized, picking up exactly where they left us wanting more, kicking their sound way up to modern hard rock royalty.

On Saturday July 30th, Robert Tepper will be releasing a new album entitled Feels Like Monday.

Robert’s voice will be familiar to anyone who loves the Sylvester Stallone Rocky franchise. Tepper’s hit, “No Easy Way Out” was used in the 1986 blockbuster, ROCKY 4, in the memorable Apollo Creed post-death montage.

*Lawrence Gowan of STYX

Lawrence Gowan enjoyed a lengthy and successful solo career with four Platinum and three Gold albums and one Gold single to his credit, prior to joining Styx in 1999 as keyboardist and one of their three lead vocalists.
As a solo artist, he released six studio albums in the ’80s and ’90s, leading to a Best Of… greatest hits record in 1997. Gowan’s second album, Strange Animal (1985), was recorded at Tittenhurst Park in England, then the home of Ringo Starr and former home to John Lennon, who recorded his highly influential Imagine album (1971) in the same home studio. Strange Animal went triple platinum in Canada, and the video for “A Criminal Mind” (a song he continues to perform solo and also with Styx) won the Juno Award for Best Video of 1985.
