Meet Leah, a.k.a. Zia Leah (Aunt Leah), Alina's friend of 13 years. Alina and Leah met their freshman year of college, and they spent the following decade in various levels of connection but always in touch and with so much love. After Quinn's sudden death, Leah SHOWED UP for Alina in a way that many people couldn't. Listen to hear how she experienced the loss and what it feels to be the friend that someone is relying on so heavily.

Judith and Julia's lives were always on the same track, personally and professionally, until Aiden's sudden death in March 2021 when Julia was newly pregnant with her first child, a son. We released an episode with big news about Alina's health this week (NOT a pregnancy announcement), which you can listen to HERE. As we're sure you can imagine, this has been fairly all-consuming for us over the past month, and we are SICK OF IT. Thus, you are going to get this bonus episode about it, but after this, it will be back to regularly scheduled programming. We will -- of course -- talk about Alina's health going forward as we do everything going on in our lives, but this is the last episode we plan to dedicate to it.

The beginning of this episode is some classic rambling from our scrambled egg brains. We talk about how infant loss affects a marriage, feelings surrounding dead baby birthday parties, religious questions after loss, and much more.

Alina recently got Quinn's results from the Roberts Program, which was investigating his SIDS death to try to determine a root cause. They were worse than anyone was expecting. Listen to hear what caused Quinn's death, how it affects Alina's health, and some of her initial thoughts on this news.

Medical bills, death certificates, police reports, oh my! Just when you think you've seen it all after the death of your child, the paperwork starts rolling in. This episode is a straight up RANT about all of the freaking forms we've had to fill out since our sons died. So many, in fact, that Judith is on a first-name basis with the chief medical examiner for L.A. County. 

It adds insult to injury, to have to write in plain text on form after form: Son (Deceased).
