25 years have past since 15yr old Ashley Ouellette, told mom she was at a girlfriend's sleep over, she lied, there was in fact a party. Ashley was missing a boy she had an unhealthy relationship with, Steve Sanborn. She made her way to his house, but he apparently wasn't interested, his brother had been at the party and they likely reunited at the house, post party. Steve claims to have never seen, Ashley that night, but his brother Dan Sanborn, certainly did. Dan was likely the last to see Ashley alive, by 4 AM, Ashley had been strangled and placed directly on the center line of a busy roadway.
Almost everyone clammed up, evidence was recovered, possibly even DNA. Dan told the cops that he went to school the next day, they checked and Dan was absent from school, why lie? The case has been stalled for years. The Maine State Police, have stated that their investigation is stalled, due to the fact that individuals who have information, refuse to provide it.
