It’s been almost a decade since we’ve been to university but this thought recently popped back up because of Amelia’s sister who has just entered first year of uni. However, she did recently decide to drop out. Which got us thinking, did we really think uni was necessary? Was it a waste of time?
Sam mentioned that he believed that uni wasn’t worth it and in fact he never finished uni but Amelia is on both sides of the fence. Listen in to see if you agree or if you have your own thoughts on going to uni?

In society, people say that first impressions do matter and that first impressions are important but have you ever thought about, what counts as a first impression too? Does the first impression include the entire first encounter with a person or is that now just the first experience with a person?
Today we’ll discuss these questions along with 3 different scenarios and we’ll see if we both agree on what counts as first impressions.
From the first impressions, we then discuss whether these makes or breaks your thoughts on seeing these people again or would we give them the benefit of the doubt and give them a second chance.
Let us know what you feel counts as a first impression and whether or not it is important to you?

For most people, they find themselves not even thinking twice before going out of their way to help a friend. However, when it comes to self care, this is something we put on the back burner and think we can work on it later. Whereas sometimes, we can go too far the other way and just self indulge and procrastinate.
Which is why we wanted to discuss these 3 actions on its own then discuss how to find the balance between being selfless, self care and self indulge. Can you be too selfless? Can you over self indulge. When is the right time to do more self care?
Speaking of selflessness vs self care, this week we are bringing the episode while one is going through covid and the other is going through food poisoning. Obviously do as we say, not as we speak haha.

As we grow, the things that matters in our lives may vary and may change. What you find important today may not be something you find important tomorrow or in the next year. So today we both talk about what matters to us currently in our lives. This is also important because it is good to stop and reflect on the things that matter to you currently so that you can realise sometimes why you feel so worn out when you spread yourself too thin.
Be it, self development, career growth, protecting your own energy and just being healthy inside and out. These are some of the things we will touch on in this episode.

Living and growing up in the world down under (Australia), of course we have to talk about the Aussie slang! Growing up, Sam has experienced hanging around westerners more than Amelia has but we have picked out a bunch of Aussie slangs that we both haven’t heard of and we will guess what the meaning of each one of these are.
Play along with us and let us know which ones surprised you the most or if you new every single one of them. Ducks, bees, rats were not harmed in this episode.

For us, we have only really thought that there was any other types of cheating outside of the most obvious, physical cheating. However, there are many out there that consider a few other actions that can take place which they also believe is a type of cheating.

For many, finding the one is one of the things they have been searching for their whole life. However, for others they don’t believe such thing exists because there may be more than one. So today we will discuss this topic as we don’t believe that there is only one person or one soul mate for each person.
Finding the one can be defined as finding someone who is perfect for you, understands you on all levels (spiritually and emotionally). However, the most important thing before finding the one is making sure you work on yourself and are happy with yourself.

Have you ever wanted to be able to ask stronger questions to get deeper and more meaningful answer or even just wanted to connect with someone on a deeper level. Asking the question why can help you build these deeper connections and forces people to think deeper.
It’s great to use in many different settings not just in work. In our episode we use examples from a therapist/psychologist, creative industry, corporate industry and even just in day to day life settings.
A great person who demonstrates using this is an award winning director, designer, strategist and educator, Chris Do. We could track back his video about asking why more. However, here is a video of him talking about why questions are more valuable.

Another article that talks about the power of why and demonstrates how it can be used and why it’s so power can be found here too:

We wouldn’t be human if there weren’t some things that tick us off, grind our gears or have personal pet peeves. Especially on a bad day, some of these things can get to us and just make us completely lose it.
So today we’ll be going through our top 5 things that grind our gears. This is just a fun episode to get to know each other better, we know that some of these are either things we can still work on so that we’re not so easily triggered and some may be first world problems.
Tune in to see what things grind our gears and let us know if any of these are yours too. Or we’d also be interested to know what some of your pet peeves are.
