A distant quasar hosts an enormous cloud of water vapor containing far more water than all oceans on Earth. Deep inside our own planet, researchers have identified a vast reservoir of water stored within mantle minerals far below the surface. Both discoveries highlight how water can exist in places that are difficult to observe directly.
