We're back at last!...again! In an episode recorded back in August 2022, we discuss our ever-changing lives within the hospitality industry. We tackle the main topic of our episode which covers the dos and don'ts of ordering drinks at a bar, and how to navigate that world for everyone's benefit. We're so happy to be back with you! Here we go! 

After a much longer than anticipated hiatus, we have returned! In this episode we'll explore burning out at work. Dive in with us as we discuss why it happens, how to avoid it, and when it might be time for a change. Join us as we return to, hopefully, brighten up your day.

In this episode, we discuss hospitality throughout the many major eras of human development. After many segues, which is typical for this podcast, the choice will be made to determine which era would be the best time to work a hospitality job. Will it be ancient Egypt? The Renaissance era in Italy? Possibly the Prohibition of the 1920's? Join us to find out!

In today's episode we'll discuss moving up the hospitality ladder. Is it worth it? What is the best path to take? Join us as we try to unpack all the mysteries of getting promoted in restaurants/hotels and what that ultimately means. We'll also unveil our new segment, The History of Hospitality, and later visit a cherished playwright to see if we'd want to bring him water and bread to his table or...not. 

In this episode we'll discuss that old adage "the customer is always right!" We'll look into its potential origins, how it has changed over the years, and why it might be time to retire the saying altogether. 

We're all painfully familiar with those tacky, outdated hospitality training videos they make everyone watch either at orientation or throughout each year. Are they helpful? Is there a better way to do them? Is there a reason they were all filmed in 1986? Join us as we discuss those darn videos and why, at the end of the day, they might do more harm than good. 

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! In this special New Year's episode, we'll share their 10 bizarre and ambitious New Year's resolutions for 2022. Join us in our first episode of this year! 

In this micro-episode we'll share two one star reviews and vent our frustrations at ignorant and entitled guests. We'll discuss why asking for a "nice" or "special" location doesn't help anyone help you.  Later, we'll delve into the trouble with eavesdropping into coffee shop employees' conversations (and why you shouldn't). Keep a lookout for our New Year's Special this coming New Year's Day! 

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!! In our first ever Christmas Special we'll assign hospitality jobs to your favorite Christmas characters. Would Santa be a server or a manager? Is Jack Frost garbage at working the expo line? We'll find out in this holiday special! Ho ho ho!

The first Christmas themed episode! We'll discuss the holidays in the hospitality industry and which seem to be the best/worst to work. Then, for our "Would You Service Them" portion of the podcast, we'll take care of a guest who may or may not be haunted by three spirits.
