A Georgia Tech professor determined that at least $1.2 billion in home equity has been "lost" in Atlanta as private equity swooped in to snap up homes in historic (and historically black, usually) neighborhoods. Cities, counties, states and Washington were caught flat-footed on this, while HOA's have been doing their best in nicer, newer neighborhoods to fend private equity off.
As Marjorie Taylor Greene sinks further into embarrassing irrelevance, a state senator within her district has opposition (unlike Marge), so is there hope in NW Georgia?
