Attitudes & How They Impact Your Marriage :: [Ep. 163]

Last episode, we started talking about how attitude is connected to communication and we offered practical advice on steps you can take to improve communication (and attitude) in marriage. 

Those steps are: 

1. Believe truth. 
2. Think truth.
3. Speak truth.
4. Live truth.
5. Give truth.

This episode, we are continuing to delve even deeper into the conversation about communication and attitude. We will offer insight about specific attitudes and how attitude directly impacts your marriage. We will also provide eye-opening counsel pertaining to our individual attitudes and how to respond to a spouse’s attitude. Tune in!!

AFTER you have listened to this episode, circle back here for the helpful exercise below that will help you see real communication change in your marriage.

1. Take a few minutes to write out the expectations you have had lately, whether met or unmet.
2. Next to each one, write the attitude you have had in either trying to get that expectation met or the attitude you have had when that expectation HAS NOT been met.
3. Next to your attitude, write what you're believing that is wrong.
4. Finally, search God's Word for the truth you need to believe instead and write down the Scripture so you can refer to it again and again as you start to allow God to change your heart.
