Whenever Enki agreed with his half-brother, Enlil, it was a mistake, even when the agreement seemed obvious and appeared to indicate that the relationship would moderate to something other than open conflict. Enki would suffer for succumbing to hope one more time, as would all that he loved, including mankind.
