Adam Rozenbachs has an impressive comedic resume that includes writing, broadcasting, acting, and of course stand-up. His humour has been known to be cutting at times, and in this interview Morry and Adam discuss poorly timed Tweets and bouncing back after a media backlash. Adam also shares how he generates new material, why it’s important to have a people around you as a sounding board for your comedy, and why Kabul has great comedy scene.
And finally, Morry talks about his Raw Comedy heat and Adam’s upcoming Melbourne International Comedy Festival show, ‘Hold My Beer‘.

Love comedy AND want to travel in time? Then you’ll love this episode, with Leon Huxtable, fellow Auscast Network podcaster, from ‘Yeah! G’day‘ – and budding comedian – as he puts himself and his humour on the line, by entering Raw Comedy
In this before and after interview, we talk to Leon about his preparation prior to his Melbourne-based heat, discuss tactics, and learn some history of Australia’s largest national comedy competition. Then, with the help of some special effect music, we shoot forward in time and find out if Leon Huxtable is going to be the next Zack Dyer – who happens to be last year’s winner.
If you’ve entered Raw Comedy, or are thinking of doing so next year, then you’ll enjoy this interview.

Tegan Higginbotham started comedy when in high school, through the Class Clowns competition. Today, just shy of 30, Tegan has an impressive comedy resume, which includes writing columns, improv, sketch comedy, and stand-up comedy, at festivals right across Australia. This year also happens to be her 12th consecutive Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF).
And that’s only the half of it. In this School of Hard Knock Knocks podcast, Tegan discusses her TV and movie roles, particularly that Neighbours episode, how she’s successfully married sport and comedy for TV, and how she develops stand-up comedy shows. She also reminds all comedians that they need to be versatile to grow a strong comedy career.

Peter Berner is a fine artist and stand-up comedian, but you probably recognise his name from the numerous TV shows that he’s hosted, namely Backberner, The Einstein Factor, You Have Been Watching, and The B Team with Peter Berner. His resume also boasts commercial radio.
In this School of Hard Knock Knocks podcast, we discuss the journey from cartoonist to comedian, getting a break on Good News Week, pitching comedy TV shows, and joke theft. You’ll also learn that all news is old news – just happening to different people.

This is not the usual School of Hard Knock Knocks podcast. Instead of a comedian, I’m interviewing Andrew Ford, author of ‘Creating a Powerful Brand‘, and one of Australia’s top personal branding experts. Why? Because it’s comedy festival time across Australia, and hundreds if not thousands of comedians are competing for a limited slice of the audience’s wallet. In short, how do you cut through the noise?
In this podcast, you’ll gain advice on how to move your comedic brand from an ‘unknown’ to a ‘somebody’, quick social media fixes that you can do today, and best of all, get a free copy of Andrew’s book, ‘Creating a Powerful Brand‘, valued at $24.95. And all you need to do is register at www.schoolofhardknockknocks.com/socialstar. It’s that simple.

American born Mike Goldstein isn’t in Kansas anymore. Sydney first, then Perth, and now Melbourne, the part Christian, part Jewish, with a dash of Sri Lankan (Yep! You read right!), has been doing stand-up comedy for the past eight years – and Aussie audiences have been loving him.
In this School of Hard Knock Knocks podcast episode, Mike Goldstein, aka Mike G, shares how he got into stand-up, his advice on what not to do at Raw Comedy, and his current favourite stand-up comedians. And, you’ll also learn the secret identity of Ozzy Man, but ‘shhh’, keep that information to yourself.
