Executive Director Susanne Wilson of Water To Thrive and Chef Tako of Kemuri Tatsu-ya join the Austin All Day podcast.
Water to Thrive has been building wells since 2008. We just funded well #1000 which means water for over 500,000 people in Ethiopia, Uganda and Tanzania.
Chef’s Table is in its 8th year and supports our operations which is crucial to our mission. We offer the 100% promise – every dollar donated to water goes entirely to support water projects. Which means, we must raise operations, administration from events and other avenues.
Chef’s Table Austin is unique in that the chefs get to attend the event, mingle and meet, grab a beer or glass of wine and have fun. They each design a custom menu which have included a backyard pig roast for 30 plus beer to a day it the kitchen with the chef to a 5 course meal with wine pairings for 16 in your home.
Chef Tako has found and abundance of success with Ramen Tatsu-ya and Kemuri Tatsu-ya. We get to rap about his years as a DJ and his knew 7 month old son.
