About the Author:
Alison Stine is the Philip K. Dick award winning author of Road Out of Winter and Trashlands, as well as three poetry collections and a novella. She was raised in rural Ohio, a setting that has come up frequently in her fiction. Partially deaf, she works as a freelance reporter with The New York Times, and also writes for The Washington Post, The Atlantic, 100 Days in Appalachia, and more. She now lives in Colorado.
