  • Award-winning author Kendra Elliot on Mai Tais, green veggies and books LIVE
Authors on the Air host Pam Stack welcomes best-selling and award-winning author KENDRA ELLIOT to the studio to dicsuss her books, green vegetables, pets, cocktails on the beach and more!    This is from Kendra's bio:   As a kid, I read and read and read. Laura Ingalls, Nancy Drew, and Trixie Belden were my close companions, and I was never without a book in hand. Today, mysteries are my primary reading genre. I sat down and wrote a contemporary romance but kept tripping over dead bodies in each chapter. I got the hint and my stories evolved into romantic suspense.  I joined my local Romance Writers of America chapter, the Rose City Romance Writers.  I also belong to International Thriller Writers and the Kiss of Death Chapter of RWA. In 2010 my manuscript, Stronger Than Bone (HIDDEN), was a finalist in RWA’s Golden Heart® contest. I won the Daphne du Maurier award for romantic suspense in 2014, 2105, and 2016, and my books have appeared on the WALL STREET JOURNAL's best seller list four times. BURIED was a 2014 International Thriller Writers's nominee for Best Paperback Original and Romantic Times Magazine's best Romantic Suspense of 2013.  . I am fascinated with forensics, refuse to eat anything green, and love a good Mai Tai on the beach on Kauai.

  • Terri Lynn Coop - author, antiquer, attorney, engineer - and she's LIVE on AOTA
Authors on the Air host Pam Stack welcomes Terri Lynn Coop to the studio.  One of the things I like best about this guest is the fact that no one can say she's led a boring life because she's done it all.  Terri is an attorney, an engineer, she writes amazing books, she is a social commentator on the world, she is an avowed "scavenger" - an antiques collector and dealer and she collects diner china - which seems like an oxymoron until she explains it.
At the heart of it all though, Terri lives in a little town on the prairie with her three Chihuahuas. She's a former oil company engineer, turned lawyer, turned antique dealer and writer.   Her first book, Devil's Deal is a mystery with a good dose of legal thriller. The book won the 2013 Claymore Award at Killer Nashville conference for best unpublished novel. She also has contributed a brilliant Kindle Worlds story called SALT to the Hugh Howey story world.  And she will be hosting her own show in the Authors on the Air Global Radio Network.  Terri blogs at http://readinrittinrhetoric.blogspot.com/. She unabashedly cusses like a sailor and calls it as she sees it.  In short, she's one of the most interesting people I know. Please join us for this LIVE broadcast by calling 347-633-9609 to say hello and ask questions.

  • Free Days with George & Colin Campbell LIVE on Authors on the Air
Authors on the Air host Pam Stack welcomes author Colin Campbell and his rescued Newfoundland best friend George to the show.  FREE DAYS WITH GEORGE: Learning Life's Little Lessons from One Very Big Dog is an uplifting, inspirational story about the healing power of animals, and about leaving the past behind to embrace love, hope and happiness.
This is the story of how a friend told Colin about a dog in need of rescue—a neglected 140-pound Newfoundland Landseer, a breed renowned for its friendly nature and remarkable swimming abilities. Colin adopted the traumatized dog, brought him home and named him George. Both man and dog were heartbroken and lacking trust, but together, they learned how to share a space, how to socialize, and most of all, how to overcome their bad experiences. At the same time, Colin relived childhood memories of his beloved grandfather, a decorated war hero and a man who gave him hope when he needed it most. Colin headed to the beach to rekindle his love for surfing, but when George encountered the ocean and a surfboard for the first time, he did a surprising thing—he jumped right on the board. Through surfing, George and Colin began a life-altering adventure and a deep healing process that brought them back to life. As their story took them to exciting new heights, Colin learned how to follow George’s lead, discovering that he may have rescued George but that in the end, it was George who rescued him.

  • Steve Hamilton's EXIT STRATEGY intense, moving, absolutely relentless book
Authors on the Air host Pam Stack welcomes highly awarded author STEVE HAMILTON to the studio.  Steve Hamilton is one of the most acclaimed mystery writers in the world, and one of only two authors (along with Ross Thomas) to win Edgars for both Best First Novel and Best Novel. His Alex McKnight series includes two New York Times notable books, and he’s put two recent titles on the New York Times bestseller list. He’s either won or received multiple nominations for virtually every other crime fiction award in the business, from the Private Eye Writers of America Shamus Award to the Anthony to the Barry to the Gumshoe. But it was his standalone The Lock Artist that made publishing history, his first book to win an Edgar for Best Novel, a CWA Steel Dagger for Best Thriller in the UK, and an Alex Award – which is given out by the American Library Association to those books that successfully cross over from the adult market and appeal to young adult readers. The Lock Artist has been translated into seventeen different languages, and was an especially strong seller in Japan, where it was voted the number one translated crime novel of 2012 by both the annual Kono Mystery Ga Sugoi guide and by Weekly Bunshun magazine.
