Chevrolet announced in early September that it plans to bring back its "Build Your Own Engine" program for the Corvette Z06 starting in the second quarter of 2023. The program, which allows buyers to come into the factory and help workers assemble the engine before it goes into their car, will only be available for Corvettes utilizing the LT6 powertrain, which, for now, only means the Z06.

On August 16th, The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 was enacted and amends the Qualified Plug-in Electric Drive Motor Vehicle Credit (IRC 30D). Now known as the Clean Vehicle Credit, it adds a new requirement for final assembly in North America. Additional provisions will go into effect on January 1, 2023. Further guidance on these provisions is forthcoming. Find more information about the credit from the Internal Revenue Service.

The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) will close all lanes of Interstate 20 westbound/Interstate 55 southbound at State Street in Jackson on Saturday, August 13, starting at 4:30 a.m. to perform a maintenance repair on a roadway dip. The closure is anticipated to last approximately 48 hours. During the closure, I-20 westbound/I-55 southbound traffic will be directed to I-55 northbound and I-220 southbound to detour around the closure. Local traffic should consider an alternate route on local roads during the closure.
