Summertime - the time of year for vacations, family reunions, beach parties, relaxation! But the summer of 2020 is different - we are in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic! In order to stop the spread of the virus, public health and medical experts implore us to wear masks in public, frequently wash our hands, and stay socially distant. African Americans must be especially diligent since, acccording to APM Research Lab and other sources, Blacks continue to have the highest death rates from Covid-19 than any other racial or ethnic group. Yet many African Americans do not put into practice recommended safety protocols to stay safe.
