For the second game in a row, it took the Colorado Avalanche a little bit of time to hit their stride. For the second game in a row, once they did hit that stride they were dominant for the remainder of the game and got a win. This time on a Mikko Rantanen OT goal to beat the Montreal Canadiens, 2-1.

Winning cures all ills, and a big one for the Avalanche right now is putting the puck in the back of the net. It's not like the Avs aren't getting shots on net. They are getting plenty of those. They just can't seem to find the back of it.

Artturi Lehkonen tied it up on an Avalanche power play, getting a goal on his former team, and Alexandar Georgiev shut down the Habs after giving up an early 1st period goal.

Once again, Jacob MacDonald and Kurtis MacDermid saw little ice time. How much longer can the Avalanche continue to do this?
