Another big game early in the Colorado Avalanche season, and they picked the perfect time to play their best game. On enemy ice, against an undefeated team, the Avs looked much more like the team we have come to know and leave St. Louis with a 4-3 win over the Blues.

Maybe they were listening to this show, but the Avs threw 42 shots on goal compared to the Blues 18. That can only lead to good things, and it did last night.

Now the Avs need to build on that as another division game is around the corner on Saturday. This time it's back at Ball Arena against the Minnesota Wild
