The Colorado Avalanche needed a late 3rd period surge and OT to complete a come from behind win over the Anaheim Ducks Sunday night, but some would argue they shouldn't have put themselves in that situation to begin with after a 2-0 leaf turned into a 4-2 deficit.

Nonetheless, the Avalanche gained two more points to put them solely in the top spot of the Central Division with 3 games left to play.

Nathan MacKinnon netted the game winner, his 3rd point of the game, while Mikko Rantanen joined his teammate in the 100 club earlier in the contest.
