The Colorado Avalanche cruised to a 5-0 win over the Chicago Blackhawks Monday night to bring their winning streak to six games, and they did it on the backs of guys like Denis Malgin and Kurtis MacDermid. You read that right.

The Avs are getting great production up and down the lineup right now, which is making things for guys like Mikko Rantanen easier. Rantanen also found the back of the net in this one, leaving him a hat trick away from getting 50 on the season. Will he get them all against the Pittsburgh Penguins Wednesday night??

Jared Bednar took the day off to sign on with the Avs for another three years behind the bench. Of course we are biased, but we think we have the best coach in the league, and to keep him around for years to come gives us a sense of comfort.

The league also went out a signed a deal of their own with Fanatics. The apparel supplier will be solely responsible for providing the league with it's uniforms when the current Adidas deal runs out following next season. Fans aren't happy. We discuss.
