You expect the prices of sporting events to rise every so often. You expect them to rise especially for the defending champion of a particular sport. But what was released by a season ticket holder on Twitter was something not many were expecting.

The Colorado Avalanche appear to have raised the prices for all sections of the playoffs this season (assuming the Avalanche make it) and some by as much as 200%. Why this is not a smart move by the Avs.
