God is leading us to confront the issues that get stuck in our hearts and deliver us to freedom. Just as He led Israel to the bitter pools and provided a way to turn their bitterness to sweet, He does the same for us today because of Jesus. He is in the process of extricating the world from our hearts, from our minds and our lives so that we can follow Him, trust Him and walk in the inheritance that He has for us.

You were picked by God for something specific. You were placed by God exactly where He wanted you for this time. You have access to the power of the King of kings. God is personally inviting you to partner with Him for great things.

We can trust God with every detail of our lives, the big and the little. We just need to see things His way

In this message, Matt shares about the importance that fathers have in changing the world, and then the life changing understanding of knowing The Father that Jesus reveals to the world. The image of the Father has been twisted throughout time until Jesus reveals what He is really like and shows us the way of adoption.

Israel received deliverance and provision as they obeyed the Lord. God's will includes the miraculous today for those who position themselves to receive promises fulfilled.

God has the plan, the provision, the power to free us. He is looking for those who want to participate with Him in saying His words and involving themselves in His power. He will deliver, even though the opposite may seem to be happening initially and people may complain and curse. God’s power will break through and He will protect and free His people.

Matt continues the Journey to Freedom series, looking at the life of Moses and the parallel to how we too may doubt our calling and be reluctant to participate in God’s plans for the world. Moses’ life was one of survival. He was nearly killed as a baby, ended up murdering an Egyptian, became a refugee in a foreign land, and by middle age, was a lonely shepherd of sheep that he didn’t even own. All along the way, God was preparing to use Moses to set an entire nation free, unbeknownst to him. Once God shares His plan and mission with Moses, the one called to deliver becomes a reluctant participant needing some convincing.

As we prepare to begin looking at one of the journeys to freedom from the book of Exodus, Matt shares how the Bible, our own lives, and God’s overall plan all tie together in an unfolding way. He talks about the types and shadows within the Old Testament that help us understand the fullness of Christ and our freedom in the New Testament. And like Moses, who God prepared to deliver many, we too are called, invited to lead many to freedom as well.

God spoke to Jonah and invited him to be a part of saving over 100,000 lives. Jonah’s response was to run the opposite way. Similarly, the “word of the Lord,” comes to us all, inviting us to partner with God in changing and saving lives. Sometimes the invitation seems too difficult and we ignore the call, only to find ourselves in the trapped inside of things God may use to give us a second chance press through difficulty and discover our purpose. When we respond to God and do the difficult thing - apologizing for what we’ve said, sharing with wicked people, giving that car away, or doing what we fear, God brings His power to bear and uses us in supernatural ways. There is no greater adventure than responding to God’s invitations to help others.

God put freedom and the desire to live free within the heart of His first creation, and it resides there still. Mankind longs to be free both externally and internally, and Jesus has provided internal freedom from every addiction, every bondage for all people. In this opening message, Matt talks about being free and the journey that we will begin taking through this series of becoming unhindered and entirely free.
