In between knowing God and taking action, we must know who we are as a son or daughter of God. Our identity isn't from what we know or what we do, but who He has made us to be. Once we know who we are, our purpose and mission will grow in clarity. The mistakes many make are deriving identity from information, works or the opinions of others, but a healthy believer grows in relationship with the Father and in Christ.

We will either live according to the flesh or according to the Spirit...the deciding factor of our outcome in this...is where we set our minds!

1,500 years after Jesus said go into all the world and preach the gospel, the church that He had left behind had strayed terribly, had become corrupted, full of error. An adjustment and change was greatly needed and God began raising up several people that began a shift known as the reformation, which has affected us all to today.

The Journey of the Christian faith from Jesus to where we are today has been bumpy. Our faith has survived through persecutions, hijacking, and misinterpretation. Matt shares highlights of this journey to help us understand what led up to the Reformation and where we are today

God is leading us on a journey. A journey of discovering Him, being changed, following Him, taking steps of faith and learning from our mistakes. Matt shares about how following Jesus, not giving into bitterness and finishing our race strongly.

After mankind left relationship with God, agreements or old covenants were established with mankind - none of which mankind fulfilled. Then the Father sent the Son to fulfill all of the agreements, pay for sin, bring us back into relationship with God in power through a New Covenant. The covenant that every believer who receives Jesus by faith has entered. It is a mind-blowing agreement in which we get to live abundantly, fully alive and filled with God and His purposes.

The Kingdom that we are in, the family that we are a part of, has laws and agreements that function within it. If we don't understand the covenants, then we won't understand the beauty and fullness and wonder of the New Covenant that we live under today. If we do understand the power of the New Covenant and what we have, then we can live free and fully.

A part of living eternally means preparing ourselves to rule and reign with Jesus. When He returns, He is coming with reward and a plan for us to rule with Him and for the ages to come to always be with Him.  With our minds fixed on these things, we will align our life and love and actions during the time before He arrives.
