Today was packed from the moment my 10am call started. What I didn’t realize? I was supposed to have an audition ready. Oops. Luckily I dressed the part and leaned all the way in. I practiced, performed, and even ad-libbed my own ending because if this is my one shot, I want to make it a legacy.
I obsessed over outfits too since everyone else will probably show up in black, but I chose a pink sweater set with orange trim, because standing out matters. I’m not here to blend in; I’m here to leave an impression.
It’s surreal to think this could be my first real shot after five years of setbacks: agents dying, confidence shaken, everything delaying me but maybe it’s all happening in the right timing.
Between working on monologues (dramatic, comedic, emotional) and cramming school deadlines, I still found moments to feel proud: I’m learning my lines faster, finding new ways to deliver them, and even keeping every draft archived like the serial archivist I am.
Oh, and the cherry on top? I booked a facial for Monday because self-care is part of the grind too.
Better or worse, today reminded me: I may not be the obvious choice, but I’m already ready.
Today I rewrote my monologue from the 21-day challenge, but this time to my 6-year-old self. I pictured watching her through the living room window watching her as she is terrified, confused, hiding behind Grandma and told her she grows up to be strong, smart, and loved. It was healing, even though it made me cry. I also realized I don’t have to live life on anyone else’s schedule, and that some days doing less makes space for breakthroughs. Better to type through tears than not write at all.
Today was about forward motion and unexpected wins. I found out my free mini tummy tuck study actually pays me aka $200 gift card (and more) coming my way! I finished my storyboard (stick figures and all), made a blanket-selling video for a hosting audition, and tackled my 21-day challenge homework by writing a monologue to my mom to heal an old wound. I also test-sat in the Lexus GX Overtrail and fell in love. Updated my book pricing, got surprise financial help, and ended the day reminded: God’s got me, I’ve got you and we are gotten.
Today wasn’t super amazing, but better is better. I skipped the gym, wrote in my book, learned I have one of the highest grades in class, and kept pivoting toward my goals. Still here, still showing up because even small better counts.
Today tested me: school deadlines, a denied food stamps notice, family tension, and moments where giving up crossed my mind. But I still showed up for myself: gym, small wins, and affirmations. God’s got me, I’ve got you, so we’ve got us.

Today was a mix of reflection, movement, and self-growth. My grandmother passed away, I tried my first TRX class (and loved it), and I’m pushing myself to go to every 6 p.m. class this week. I also realized how far I’ve come, for instance applying for jobs I never would’ve considered last year, and reminded myself: we are gotten
Today was all about letting life be sweet to me. I mapped dream road trips, had three amazing calls, finished a group reading (new beginnings!), and reflected on trusting what I can’t see yet. God’s got me, I’ve got you, we are gotten
I found out my agency isn’t what it claimed, lined up three big calls tomorrow, got spoiled with spiritual gifts, made a surprising crypto gain, journaled deep truths, and realized life might be moving forward faster than I thought.
Today started rocky, I missed my mentor meeting, one interview ghosted me, and the other wasn’t quite a match. But then… the dream job I’d wished for…a QVC/HSN Program Host role in a city I’ve never been to… showed up in my inbox. I applied with the most “me” cover letter ever. I also had a big win with my mom by choosing not to engage in a fight. Money I’ve spent is circulating back to me, and I feel grateful, generous, and ready. We’ve got this.
Today was about abundance, boundaries, and semicolons. I ate with my parents, shared yellow watermelon, and talked about why I don’t judge consensual sexual preferences. I opened up about past shame, survivor advocacy, and building my future. God’s got me, I’ve got you.
