Janelle is an Adjunct Professor of Food & Culture at Hudson County Community College in New Jersey and has been teaching at the college level for 6 years.
Janelle’s desire is to share knowledge about the connection between food, environment, community and health.
She holds a Masters degree in Urban Affairs from Hunter College, City University of New York focusing on community and economic development. After several years of community work Janelle enrolled in New York University and earned her second Masters in Food Studies with a focus on Food Systems.
Her current goal is to dedicate more time to J Squared Food Hub a benefit corporation (B-Corp) a business she started with hopes to connect black farmers with black owned restaurants to supply them with produce.
