Jess and Betsy complain about how expensive lingerie is, and how you can't simply just rip it off like many do in these romance books. Jess, Sinead, and Betsy talk about #notallfaeries verses #allfaeriesarebastards. We see more similarities between "A Court of Thorns and Roses" and "Beauty and the Beast", except for the fact that Belle is very smart and Feyre is kinda dumb, but still smarter than everyone else in this book.

Feyre learns that all the fae are forced to wear masquerade masks because of a weird magical illness. We also meet Lucien, Tamlin's sassy best friend who indirectly tries getting Feyre killed by directing her in the path of some evil fae. Feyre also has an encounter with an evil cloud, whom Tamlin runs off to go fight, somehow.

The War Faerie makes a very brief appearance that means absolutely nothing at all for the rest of the book. The guys give their summary while Mij continues to sleep in the background.
