On the other hand, a negative attitude can hinder your progress and lead to feelings of frustration, disappointment, defeat, and even physical sickness.

It is stapled advice that I have carried with me since my first year of employment at 21 years-old through my post-retirement years of professional engagements. I will use this writing opportunity to give you a hint to make it all fall into place.  The key to a successful, long career is:  "You have to be successful at the position that you are in now, to have the opportunity to be successful in your next position up the ladder."

This week's episode is a unique one, to say the least. Have you ever heard of imposture syndrome? It is the tendency to believe one's success is un-deserving, and that someday people will realize that you are a fraud.  These beliefs surface when there is evidence, such as degrees, titles, awards, and maybe even mild success on a much smaller scale indicating that one is worthy of the position.  But in reality, they are in way over their head.
