This week on Bakers Bantering, Baker Banter Mom’s mom, Mimi Warren, joins the show! Jenna takes us through her exhilarating experience at her first St. Louis CITY soccer match, running into producer Ellis at the game, and her 5 year anniversary with her boyfriend, prompting Derek to question if the ring is on the horizon (00:58-16:58). Derek brings up another anniversary involving our good friend “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio, and continues with the “dirty” theme after an unfortunate mishap at softball involving his friend. In a complete turn of events, the family trip to the river for Labor Day weekend ended on an extra clean slate after Jenna saves Derek from a bathroom sink fiasco (17:23-25:03). The whole family, including Mimi Warren, enjoyed a great weekend at the river, even though Eric had a couple of mishaps with the boat and Derek got into it with Uncle Scott. Thankfully, as Valerie and Mimi describe, the whole community around the river are always more than happy to lend a helping hand (25:18-40:06). Mimi shares her experiences growing up in New Hampshire, starring on her basketball team, but not so much in her algebra class, and reveals where Derek might’ve gotten his love for wrestling. She reminisces about moving to Missouri, what Valerie was like growing up, and what she thinks about Baker Banter (40:08-1:12:55). In the Weekly Wrestling Wrap Up, Derek details some subtractions and new additions to the AEW roster. Dom is barred from ringside, but Valerie doesn’t think that’ll stop him. Jey Uso is back like he never left, and Derek shares how he feels about Jey and Sami Zayn hugging it out. Finally, we announce a special guest for our next episode, one of our first friends from the wrestling world (1:13:30-1:36:28).

This week on Bakers Bantering, another family member joins the show, cousin Meagan! Jenna put up her Halloween decorations with a whole week left in August, sparking some debate about whether or not that was too early. Regardless, everyone is excited for Spooky Season (01:30-11:00). Katy (aka Miss Baker) tells us about her struggles and highlights in her first week as a teacher! Putting her skills to the test, she gives Jenna and Meagan a math quiz that was tougher than expected (11:03-27:55). Meagan provides insight on her life as the Bakers closest cousin (she lives next door), living with Mimi (RIP), and if she ever sees her ghost (28:00-33:59). Jenna tells us the infamous story about Derek calling the cops on his own grandmother, and how Meagan came to save the day (34:08-44:01). Meagan tells us that Derek was the coolest kid in high school, and she’s honored to feel like a sister in the Baker family (45:09-1:06:04). In the Weekly Wrestling Wrap Up, Derek pays tribute to two WWE Superstars that passed away recently, Terry Funk and Bray Wyatt. This week on Bakers Bantering, we welcome our first guest to the pod! WWE Superstar, NXT North American Champion, and friend of the family, “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio! Valerie explains why Derek thinks he and Dominik are brothers, then Dom and Derek share their perspectives on the ordeal (3:40-6:52). Derek asks Dom how it feels to be a Tag-Team Champion with his dad, Rey, but Dom has a different belt that he likes a little more (7:02-8:20). Jenna takes us through the simultaneous rise of Baker Banter and Dominik’s young WWE career, and Dom shares his thoughts on the first time meeting the Baker family and how impressed he was with Derek’s vast knowledge of WWE statistics (8:30-18:20). On this week’s episode of Bakers Bantering, we open up with Katy explaining the beginning of her “teacher era” (01:17-08:38). Jenna celebrates her 30th birthday in a suite at the Cardinals game. It was supposed to be a surprise party set up by Valerie, but the surprise was subdued after Jenna did some sleuthing into her friends and families locations (08:40-20:50). The Baker’s detail their time-management skills (or lack thereof) before their road trip from St. Louis to Detroit for SummerSlam. Along the way, they met a HUGE Baker Banter fan, and a family that had an everlasting impact on their weekend (22:33-30:49). Derek gets to meet some of his favorite WWE Superstars before their big weekend, the family enjoys a Tigers baseball game at Comerica Park, and they express their love (and distaste) for some of the best food that Detroit has to offer (30:51-58:48). Finally, in place of the Weekly Wrestling Wrap Up, the Bakers go in-depth with their SummerSlam recap. They met plenty of Baker Banter fans, and some of Derek’s SummerSlam predictions were right on the money (58:52-1:25:25).

On this week of Bakers Bantering, Katy receives a gift from the fam to start off her “teacher era” (0:52-5:30). Jenna has another brainfart moment but redeems herself from last week (7:20-8:45). Derek has an exciting weekend on the river, making new friends and getting recognized for his TikTok celebrity status (8:50-14:10).
