On this episode, Paula and Danielle delve into the topics of Herbal Pairings and Supersets. What is a superset exactly? A superset is when we take different exercises and perform them back to back with little to no rest. Sounds fun, eh? With so many types of supersets, the possibilities are endless and adding variety to your workouts is only one of the many benefits you will learn about during this episode. ~ And just like a superset, without missing a beat, Paula enlightens us on some spectacular herbal pairings. What are affinity drivers? How can you combine them with other herbs to make a medicine that works for YOUR body? And how can a triangle help you narrow down and specify your needs and goals? Herbs mentioned: Ginger, Nettle, Violets, Ginko, Tulsi, Thyme, Linden, and Valerian.

Today we are talking about Herbal Energetics and how we can create programs and workouts for success! Did you know that there are constitutions connected to our body, the herb itself, and the ailment you may be trying to alleviate? Whether you are new to herbal medicine, or just need a little refresher, today we reintroduce four foundational constitutions to keep into consideration, as well as three new herbs for your herbal tool box. For example, depending on the herb you take, you may find that the herb increases your normal heat or dryness, making you feel unpleasant, or the herb can soothe your standard constitution. . We also discuss (bands) Danielle's strategies when creating workouts for Paula ( botanicals)! Did you know when creating a workout you should keep into consideration the clients work and hobbies? Why would you need to know that? For one, an individuals job can be an insight into the daily movement patterns of the body, and further more, general compensations that may be commonly associated with those jobs. For example, if you are a construction worker, or a painter your body may fall into a pattern of repetitive overhead motion. Even more so, you may be relying on one side of the body to stabilize and execute most of the movement, creating an imbalance in the body. These are important factors to keep into consideration when thinking of your client, or yourself. Join us, as we delve deeper into these two worlds, bringing them closer together for a healthier YOU!

Today we are excited to introduce Nicole Schaller for our latest episode on "Trusting Your Gut!!" Nicole is the Studio Manager and Head Coach of Orangetheory Fitness in Medford, Oregon, and a Social Media consultant on top. More than that, she is a woman who has struggled with her gut health for most of her life. Like many, she quietly settled into her discomfort of daily cramping, bloating, fatigue, and daily abdominal discomfort, believing this was her normal. For years her doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong, so trusting her gut, Nicole decided to embark on a healing journey of her own. After years of questions, Nicole finally figured out her issues were tied to SIBO or Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth. Join us for an honest and vulnerable discussion about her gut journey, her tips and tricks for feeling her best, how it influenced her fitness routines, and most importantly, how she was able to find her version of health and take back her power.
