This week we do something a little different….. but kinda the same…

Yes it’s a shorter Banter this week and while we are missing two of our  hosts, the rest of the crew are on board and we actually have a couple of friends on from the Whisky podcast world, Daniel and Brad from Dram Talk.

These guys have been doing this a while and they definitely know about Whisky.

One of the banter crews favourite sides to the Australian Whisky industry is how everyone looks out for each other, because it’s not a competition. Well we would like to think we are the same, two podcasts that don’t see each other as competition but able to learn from each other and grow together.

And boy we could certainly learn from these guys. You can find Dram Talk on apple podcasts and Spotify and the crew recommend you give them a listen.

We go through a whisky each and dig in to the tasting notes and delve into the distilleries a little. We have a bit of fun and hopefully you will get a take on some these whiskies and maybe get inspired to search some out for yourself.

Probably best appreciated in a comfy chair with a dram of your own, but short enough you could listen to it almost anywhere.

So we were really excited to have these guests on, but VIC and Wes were having a fanboy moments! Why you ask? Well this week was all about  bourbon, and there are no better guests when it comes to Bourbon in Australia.

Yep we had Sean and Greg from Bourbon Brothers Australia on to tell us all about Australia’s premier Bourbon subscription service.

The Brothers Bourbon take us  through a tasting of the Rye July subscription pack with a Rebel (Yell) Rye, which has an amazing story to it, The Rittenhouse straight Rye, and probably the favourite of the line up for the crew the Wilderness Trail straight Rye which was incredible.

While we are sipping these whiskies, the boys tell us all about themselves and how they got this idea to put this service out there in Australia and of course we get an understanding of how they do this and what you can expect if you subscribe.

These boys are clearly not in it for the return on investment but more to get products out there that people will love to try. Plus the size of the  samples mean you get a decent opportunity to really appreciate them.

So pull up a comfortable chair, if you can put yourself a dram, and please enjoy the Banter over Whisky!

Due to work commitments and sickness we were without Adrian, Wes and Mick, We decided to do a shorter Banter podcast this week where the three left  standing, Vic, John and Brad , did a tasting of one dram each. We had a bit of fun and also had some serious discussion about whisky and distilleries and to be fair it was quite refreshing to pull it up under the 30 minutes. We feel this is a nice and easy podcast to have a listen to and trust you will enjoy it.
