Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. These are three unalienable rights granted to us by the Declaration of Independence. However, as a nation, we have been missing the mark on liberty. This week's episode has my good friend Steven Fryson, and we discuss a myriad of topics such as abortion, police shootings, Jaylen Walker, adoption, foster care, and more. There has been an escalating level of frustration with the things we are witnessing, and we just wanted to have a vent session with one another. What is grief if not love persevering? A character from a top-rated series that just aired on Disney Plus uttered these words, but no matter who uttered the phrase, these words have continued to stick with me. We all know there is a certain inevitability to this life that we live. Even knowing that this existence will end, we go on day by day pretending that it won't. Our jobs, friends, and even family can be taken for granted. That is why when something like the loss of a parent happens, it suddenly puts life into ultra focus. Trenden Padgett was on this week's episode, and we discussed this very subject, what it was like to lose a parent. We spoke candidly about our experiences with losing someone responsible for our entire existence on this planet. The heartache, the inconsolable moments, all of that, and more is what is in store for you throughout the next hour and forty-eight minutes. This week's episode was a lot of fun. Alyssa Harmadi and Kayla Herring stopped by and we had a few drinks and a lot of laughs. The discussion ranged from mental health in the era of covid 19. How we all basically lost an entire year of our lives due to this pandemic. A lot of the discussion hemmed on us speaking candidly about our childhoods, and how things that happened in our childhoods can shape who we are today in society. Sometimes the stars align, and you finally make a thing happened that you have been waiting to happen for a very long time. Alysha Johnson was on the show this week, and I had an excellent time recording the show with her. We touched on topics from loss of loved ones, covid lockdowns, children growing up in isolation, and overall contentedness in life.
