Barn Burner Podcast

It has been the best sports week of Jonah’s entire life (Go Blue). Avery is fighting for his life in the sub-zero temperatures of the arctic Midwest. And we came across Buc-ee’s copycat in the middle of nowhere Illinois.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We hope you all had a great holiday season. As we get back, we predict our major sports champions of 2024, why Avery got banned from Venmo, and navigating the DMV is still very simple.

We both agree that our work should grant us a 30 minute recess, like the good ole days. If there was any snack you could have right now, what would it be? And please, don’t use the nickname ‘pal’.

*SPECIAL GUEST* Come for the DoorDash story, stay for the college football playoff talk. From getting scammed by a hotel in downtown Atlanta, to using Venmo to give a homeless man money, we covered it all.

The irony of almost dying by choking on a lifesaver. Tune in for another update on Florida driving, and we talk lots of sports this episode, including some of Avery’s favorites to watch like water polo, diving, etc.

Happy Thanksgiving! Black Fridays used to be an all out every man for himself — what happened to those deals? It’s never any fun slipping as you’re getting into the shower, and Avery relives the moment he devoured some moldy cheese.

Avery gives a new morning routine a whirl, and Boston Bill is back with another story about how he called a female drill sergeant a sir.

Avery ranks his favorite pizza places in a blind ranking, Jonah watches a fella carrying everything and the kitchen sink on his bike, and we have absolutely no idea how to whisper.

Avery’s geographical skills are a lost art, as he thinks Australia is in Europe. Are you feeding your goldfish the nutrients it needs? And why have high schoolers gotten so soft?

If you spell lose like loose, please listen to this episode for your benefit. Avery gets stuck in a tiny airport for a day. And whatever you do, learn from us and don’t give the youth ice cream — it’s a rookie mistake.
