The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) begins next week, and ESPN is reportedly nearing an agreement to broadcast some games. For baseball-starved fans, it would be a welcome sight. There is growing optimism that the MLB season will get underway this summer, and the league is reportedly eyeing a start date in late June or early July and a schedule of at least 100 games. The Commissioner's investigation into the Red Sox sign stealing in 2018 is complete. Boston's activities were found to be limited in scope, and most of the blame was pinned on J.T. Watkins, the video replay operator. It is legal to use game footage to decipher a sign sequence before or after games, but Watkins used in-game footage to revise the sign sequence he gave to players. Boston will lose their 2nd round pick in 2020 and J.T. Watkins will be suspended through the 2020 season. Watkins will not be permitted to serve as any team's video replay operator in 2021.
