  • Week 6: Wisdom From Proverbs

In light of all that is going on around us, I’ve noticed something pretty obvious: many people are discouraged and feeling “blah” about life. Yet, one of the marks of a follower of Jesus is the exact opposite: JOY. Proverbs 17:22 says that “A joyful heart is like good medicine.” That's right, joy is good medicine! And that’s exactly what we and our world need: the good medicine of joy. Join us this Sunday as we learn how to have fullness of joy!

  • Week 5: Wisdom From Proverbs

In our lives we get to choose who we invite to walk alongside us. What advises those decisions? Proverbs tells us that when wisdom informs the path we choose to walk, great relationships are built. Join us this Sunday as we learn how to build wisely together.

  • Week 4: Wisdom From Proverbs

What is happening? What is God doing?
These two questions continue to plague my mind when I think about what is happening in the world today with COVID-19, racial tensions, the economy, our government, and more. I want to know - and yet, I (we) don’t know. And that’s the issue: we just don’t know. Consequently, our world is filled with uncertainty, distrust, fear and anxiety among other things. But in the midst of this there is ‘one thing’ we can know. Join us this Sunday as we look to Proverbs 30 for the knowledge that brings reassurance and peace.

  • Week 3: Wisdom From Proverbs

As we read Proverbs 16:9 we should realize that our plans may be in tension with God’s plans. Ultimately real wisdom in living comes when we release our plans and seek God’s direction. In the story of Esther we see a woman who finds herself in a unique position with the ability to help her people but she hesitates, not sure if she should take action until her relative Mordecai challenges her with one of the most well-known verses in Esther: Esther 4:14. Mordecai suggests that maybe she had come to the royal throne “for such a time as this.” Will we set aside our fears, our frustrations, and our plans so we can ask God what "Esther moments" he has planned for us today? Is it possible that maybe, just maybe, you are where you are “for such a time as this?” Join us this Sunday as we start asking God what our next steps are.

  • Week 2: Wisdom From Proverbs

Everyone needs wisdom. Where do you go for it? Google, a friend, podcasts, blogs? This Sunday we have the joy of hearing from Pastor Jared Stacy as we continue our series called “Wisdom from Proverbs.” Jared is a dynamic teacher and leader who serves as a pastor to young adults. His passion is seeing the next generation, in the midst of growing secularism, come to know Jesus and mature in their faith. • Week 1: Wisdom From Proverbs

We live in a very complex and confusing world right now, from COVID-19 to racial injustice; violence in the streets to uncertainty with the economy. Everyone has an opinion, a thought, a persuasive argument - yet no one has the answers. The scriptures teach that the answers we need won’t be found within us but from outside of us. Join us this Sunday as we kick off a new series on the book of Proverbs and learn why and how Biblical wisdom is so crucial to understanding our lives right now.

  • Our Anchor

Righteousness: to be rightly related to God, others and our environment. This is the life God seeks. How does one live righteously? One powerful verse, Micah 6:8, reveals this to us. It’s an anchor for our life, and it reads: “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.” Join us this Sunday at 9:20 and 11:20 a.m. in Annapolis, at 9:30 a.m. in Easton, and online as we seek God’s perspective and response to racism.

  • Justice, Like Waters

As our country continues to struggle we know the gospel of Jesus is the ultimate solution, yes, but how are we to think, feel and respond? This Sunday I want to invite you in to my journey. It’s a journey of listening, learning and praying. It’s a journey of loving my neighbor. And it’s a journey of grasping God’s heart for righteousness and justice. Amos 5:24 says, “But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.” I hope you will join me on this journey as we gather on Sunday in Annapolis, Easton and online.

  • Love, In Response

What is God’s heart? That’s the question I’m asking as I watch the news, listen to interviews, and discuss with Black and African-American pastors and friends. I’m in a mode of lamenting, listening and learning. One thing I know for sure: God’s heart is for righteousness and justice. If I had one word to describe His heart, it would be “love.” It’s a love that is moved with compassion and grounded in the truth of the gospel. We are excited that many will be joining us at the Annapolis and Easton campuses this Sunday, and look forward to communing with those watching online as well. Together we will begin to explore how we, as followers of Jesus, are to model our life after the One who has never even had a racist thought.

  • The Book of Daniel Part 1

This Sunday we begin a two-part series from the book of Daniel called “Resolved.” Few and far between are those with the resolve to do the right thing no matter what. Enter Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednigo. Most of us are familiar with the fiery furnace. It’s an incredible story! A question we might have is, “How did they have the resolve to step into the fire and leave all the consequences to God?” In light of the turbulent times surrounding the tragedy of George Floyd’s death, COVID-19, financial challenges, and more, do you have the resolve to obey God no matter the outcomes? Join us this Sunday online at 9:20am as we worship, open God’s Word, and pray for our land.
