Today, we are debuting a new segment here at The Bones Brigade Audio Show: the first installment of The SK8-TV files! Yes, by popular demand, we will be reviewing- sporadically- the entire thirteen-episode run of Nickelodeon’s legendary SK8-TV! Back in the olden days, when new skate videos were a once or twice a year affair, this Stacy Peralta and Craig Stecyk-masterminded basic cable opus acted as a much-needed lifeline of fresh viewing content for the seven ply-starved youth of America. Hosted by the one and only Skatemaster Tate and a young Matthew Lynn (who, as Matthew Lillard, would go on to an esteemed Hollywood acting career), SK8-TV lasted but a single season, yet left an undeniable mark on the world of skateboarding for an entire generation. To kick us off on our adventure, we are welcoming to the BBAS studio, Mark Hunt; a lynchpin of the SK8-TV operation from its inception that acted in multiple integral roles including Producer, Filmer, Editor, Show Advisor, and everything in between. Mark was kind enough to give us (and you!) the entire behind-the-scenes rundown on the show, from beginning to middle to end.
