Aside from being known far and wide in the Bones Brigade universe for her short but memorable interview and freestyle segment alongside Anita Tessensohn and Lori Rigsby in 1988’s Public Domain, Sophie has a long and fascinating tale that is deeply rooted in skateboarding history. From her early days as one of Canada’s top female skateboarders in the late 1970’s to championship wins, meeting Kevin Harris, moving to the US, her two-year relationship with Rodney Mullen, filming with Stacy Peralta, injuries, comebacks, and the eventual bowing out for a career in academics and aviation- we cover it all and then some.
