In pursuing the life of your dreams, it's important to affirm what you want to create and accomplish. You'll attract that which you affirm daily and focus on consistently. Affirmation is the action of declaring something into existence. It's a form of prayer, meditation or auto-suggestion declaring that which your heart desires.

BRANDING vs. BRAND IDENTITY
Brand Identity: The way your brand looks - the visual aspect.
Branding: The foundational pieces that make your brand - your mission, values, beliefs, your why. Deeper rooted questions.
What to refine before creating your brand identity:
Who is your ideal client/who do you want to help, how you can help them/how they are feeling?
"HUMANIZE your brand."
Unfollow or mute accounts on social media that you're comparing yourself to. Stop following so many people in your industry. They are NOT your ideal client.
How to stand out in a saturated market:
"You all don't have the ideal client, although you may do the same thing you aren't helping the same people."
Keep the ideal client in mind when you are creating content, messaging, how you are showing up on social.
Market research - ask your audience and clients more questions! Use polls, question box, quiz box on IG stories.
"You can have a board WHO (who you help) as long as you have a specific WHAT (what you help them with)"

I'm not gonna sugar coat it, being rejected sucks. It makes you question yourself and feel like a failure. It hurts and it stings. It makes you feel down & out and causes your head to spin with negative self talk.
Instead of wallowing in the negativity for days try moving forward with positivity. But like how do you do that when you're feeling rejected?! This is what's worked for me:
1. Let yourself feel the emotions for a little bit - sadness, hurt, disappointment.
2. Talk to those around you who are positive & supportive about how you're feeling - they will reenforce positivity and help you see the silver lining.
3. Learn and acknowledge that Rejection is just REDIRECTION - everything happens for a reason. Opportunities will pass you by in order to make room for something bigger & better. God has a plan!
4. Move forward with positivity and focus your energy on something new - Don't dwell on the rejection. Instead plan a new project or find a new opportunity to focus on and get excited about!

Quotable Moments:
"Working 40 hours a week and doing 25 to 30 weddings a year. Two full time jobs and no life but it was what I needed to do to finally separate and leave my full time job and pursue makeup full time."
"If you stay in your comfort zone, you're not going anywhere!"
"This is my calling. This is my purpose. This sucks right now but I know 6 months from now I will be good!"
"Don't have the mom guilt. You need your own life! It's hard in the first year or two to identify yourself as anything other than a mom."
"In order to do what you need to do. Help yourself! If that means taking one day a week to have a babysitter and getting out of the house to get work done. Prioritize what needs to be done and take a minute for yourself!"
"Someone told me this: Your life and your priorities are like juggling a bunch of balls. Some of them are glass and some of them are plastic. You have to figure out which ones are glass and which ones are plastic and you have to be ok with dropping the ones that are plastic."
"Don't give a single thought to what anyone is going to think about what you're doing. You're not for everybody!"
"Community over competition."
