Our guest today "Jessie Asya Kanzer", was born in the Soviet Union. At the age of eight, she emigrated with her family to Brooklyn. She is a writer, former reporter and actress. -Simplify what you want, simplify what you have, simplify your thoughts.

-Even in busy times, if you simplify to doing just what is in front of you versus obsessing over all the anxieties around it, that really helps.

-Patience is a reminder that things don't happen in our timeline, things happen gradually rather than all of a sudden.

-When you can give yourself a break and accept yourself as a person who is not perfect, it becomes so much easier to accept other people in their imperfect reality.

-Listen to yourself, tune in to that inner voice.

-Listening to our inner voice is harder now because of our go-go technologies.

- The obvious problem these days with our society is that we are having too much stress that we are not aware of stress management.

- In general terms, we do need stress in order to perform, in order to produce the result that are productive in a day to day basis.

- Stress is good to a certain level and we can use it to our advantage when we are having a positive level of adrenaline.

- Sometimes when we work we are not really in line with our values which is why we might actually not feel intensely motivated to do the work that we do.

- Manage your time and set boundaries.

- One of the main things driving exploitation is extreme poverty.

- We are all vulnerable to certain levels and to certain things but there are more certain areas of life that make people much more vulnerable.

- Devaluing females makes those females feel so vulnerable to exploitation.

- Often when we think of trafficking we often think sex trafficking but labour trafficking is a huge thing as well.

- Our impact is all around dignified employment.

- A living wage is very important, but a living wage tells you that you can accomplish something in life, but it's an amount, you can make a lot of money doing things that are not dignified.

- If there is more poverty in the country, there is more vulnerability and most likely more exploitation.

- If you really want to make a positive impact, you don’t have to be extreme as they crave for freedom.

- Every country has different value on their money and cost of living is different but if a person doesn’t have money for their necessities, if they don’t have money to send their kids to school, if they don’t have enough money to put away as savings for their future, then they are not getting enough money, that’s the basic definition of minimum wage.

- If there are just living paycheque to paycheque…...that is poverty wage, they may be happy with it but, we can do better.

- Continue to talk to people who have been there before you.

- As an entrepreneur, you will always get advice....continue learning.

- Step away! Make sure you find time to step away because entrepreneurship can be overwhelming.

- Figure out what refreshes you and get plenty of it.
