    Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 8:18

    Narrator: Male
Here's an excerpt from today's bedtime story to help with emotional regulation, Happy Dragon:
Growing nearer to the playground Dragon began to feel curious because there was something sitting in the forest just ahead. It was wrapped in a big red bow. As Dragon walked closer, Dragon realized it was a present. Had someone lost a gift? Dragon hurried over to it, eager to return the gift to its recipient.  Dragon searched for a clue as to whose present it might be. There was a picture tied to the present. It was a dragon!  Dragon smiled knowing whose present it was. Quickly, Dragon untied the ribbon picked up the soft fabric.
Today’s Meditation: Draw gentle shapes in the soothing sand as you prepare for today's story.

  • Girl Power! A short story and guided meditation for kids
Today’s Story (EP319): Girl Power! A short story and guided meditation for kids
    A special episode for #dayofthegirl!

After Max teases her, Mia and her brother learn about women who have made a difference. Believing in girl power, Mia is ready to share what she learned with the world.
    Narrator: Female
    Today's Children's Story Excerpt:
Mia’s mom smiled and said, “You can join the girls and other women who have already spoken up. Malala Yousafzai, even though she is young, continually tells the world it is important that girls receive education. Margaret Thatcher became the Prime Minister of Great Britain and spoke up, encouraging people to accept responsibility for their lives. Both you and your brother can choose any job, if you learn the skills you need and pay attention to opportunities.

You can also change your mind. Julia Child was a spy and then she had an opportunity to try cooking. She had the skills she needed and became a famous chef. Speaking up also helps share different ways of thinking. Temple Grandin has shown people the interesting things we discover when we look at the world through the unique views of different people, even animals. It is important to understand how we all impact each other.”
Today’s Meditation: Today, notice loving energy flowing through your body, from your feet up to your head.

The family had just moved in and the little boy missed all his friends. Outside the sun shined brightly on the winding sidewalk. That gave Winfield an idea. Maybe Brian would meet some kids if they explored the neighborhood. Brian’s dad must have understood what Winfield was thinking. He suggested, “Why don’t we go outside for a walk?

Today’s Bedtime Story with a Positive Message: Terry and Charlie truck carefully drive at the edge of the forest.  Charlie gets hot and needs water. What will Terry Truck do to help his friend?

Excerpt from Mystery Jug: a children's story with a positive message:
Warm sunlight filtered through the leaves of the trees at the edge of the woods. A lacy pattern of light and leaves covered everything underneath the forest canopy. Terry the truck carefully drove alongside Charlie. The two trucks drove slowly at the edge of the forest and tried to keep their engines cool. Today, even in the shade, it was hot. Up ahead, Terry noticed a hill. The little truck wondered how they would climb it in the heat.
