Ash is the older of us two, and has a infinite love for sushi, a good dance floor, and local coffee shops. Laur loves to cook and is her best self at a dive bar on a saturday night! - we adore getting to own a business as sisters, and getting take on all of the challenges and excitement it brings, together. we are infinitely blessed to call the little gatherings our own, and can’t wait to plan with you for whatever you are dreaming up (:

Kyle Good- Growing up in South Florida, the ocean and surrounding waterway’s have heavily influenced myself both professionally and recreationally.  With a background in the hospitality industry along with a degree from FSU, I have enjoyed expanding upon my family’s event management business.  We are proud to host events on both coasts of Florida that are all heavily influence by our state’s costal lifestyle.  Additionally, I work with the Marine Industries Association of Southwest Florida and play an active role in protecting and promoting recreational boating through education and advocating. Outside of the water, I enjoy hiking in the mountains, live music and craft beer.

Welcome to episode 39 of the BE LOCAL PODCAST! When I first heard about the "Red Meat Lovers Club," I immediately asked when do they meat (get it meet) ok but also can I join. We have Evan Darnell on with us to tell us how they started, how you can join and how are they giving back to locals.

In 1994, Evan Darnell, AKA “The Secretary of Steak,” was dining in the main hall of Tulane University and saw a sign on the dining room table that said “S.A.V.E.”: Students Advocating Vegetarian Eating. He knew there needed to be an opposing club. He later formed Red Meat Lover’s Club. The Red Meat Lovers Club held Monthly “meatings” which were hosted at various local bars and the Pike fraternity house. Upon Evan’s graduation, the membership reached 300 members. After moving to Florida in August 2017, Evan Awakened his beloved club and re-established The Red Meat Lover’s Club. Now, not much has changed except we can create more significant, more dynamic events with a dynamic core of “Steaksmen” whom love to feast on the glorious beast.

The R.M.L.C. is based out of sunny South Florida with its eye on establishing chapters where groups of “Steaksmen” have a thirst for old brown spirts, a yearning for the glorious beast, and they want to develop strong personal and business bonds with each other.

After receiving her degree Michelle had a 10-year career working in the front office of the Indiana Pacers, Seattle Super Sonics and the Florida Panthers. Along with her husband Justin, this South Florida Power Couple has a long history of understanding health and fitness through chiropractic, exercise & nutrition. They now own NUCCA Chiropractic Offices in Deerfield Beach, Coral Springs and Boca Raton. They wanted to further help the community experience healthy living, so they opened CrossFit Vice in Coral Springs.
