  • Conversations with Neale Part 1

Neale Donald Walsch has written 39 books on contemporary spirituality and its practical application in everyday life, including the 9-book Conversations with God series. His titles have been translated into 37 languages.

His latest book is The God Solution, published in December, 2020, which invites humanity to embrace a new global ethic based on a refined and clarified definition of God. The book proposes that there is a single statement of spiritual truth upon which all the world’s religions could agree, and which would birth a shift of spiritual paradigms around the globe of such magnitude that it would produce peace and happiness on our planet at last.

Unlike any guest I have ever had on, I quickly realized this would not be an interview, but a conversation with Neale and source.

In Part One, we discuss Vladimir Putin, why God allows war, killing and destruction and why humans can't seem to treat one another and the planet with love and respect. And of course, The God Solution and how the power of pure love can change all of this.

Whether you believe in a higher power, or source or God, this conversation invites you to see another view of why we are here and how we are the solution to the pure love we seek.

The God Solution is available at bookstores worldwide and also for free on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/NealeDonaldWalsch You can also learn more at http://www.nealedonaldwalsch.com/ and www.CWGConnect.com

  • You Can't Regrow Ancient Forests

Just a few years ago, when we were deep in the Trump Presidency, it felt like every day was a new attack on the environment. From releasing protected park lands to the gas and mining industries, and the gulf waters for drilling – every day with Trump felt like a monstrous machine ripping up our trees and spewing sewage into our waters. For most of us it was devastating.

The election of Joe Biden brought hope for clear skies and promises of protection for our beloved planet.

But is that what’s really happening? Yes and No.

The Yaak Valley in Montana, where one of the United States oldest forests resides on public land is set to be sold, cleared and logged under the guise of Forest Management with the Biden Administration.

Today my guest is Rick Bass Acclaimed Author and Activist who will share his story of becoming a land protector for the Yaak Valley and why this should matter to us all. For more information please visit www.yaakvalley.org and www.protectancientforests.org

  • Art from the Inside

Just over 3 years ago retired Minnesota correctional officer Antonio Espinosa had to make a decision – the kind of decision one may only make once in a lifetime. His beloved best friend and partner had just been murdered by an inmate at the prison they both worked at.

Antonio was faced with choosing hope or hate.

    He chose hope and Art.

With nothing but the drive to be the change and help others, Antonio brought in educational + cultural events to the staff and inmates of his former workplace and then a program to showcase the artwork of those incarcerated -  Art from the Inside was born.

As Antonio says “I’m just one person trying to make a change in our system. I want to help transform these men and help the community heal after the killing of my friend and fellow correctional officer, Joseph Gomm.

Art just happened to be the vehicle that brought us together to have these difficult conversations.”

  • For the Love of the Sea

Alizee Zimmermann has always had a love of water. Born and raised on the islands of the Turks and Caicos, she began diving at the age of 12. Earning a Masters in English Lit at the age of 21, she taught in China and Spain, but it was a trip to Vietnam where she became a dive instructor – logging hundreds of hours in her second home, the sea.

Her home called her back and she began volunteering with the Turks and Caicos Reef Fund - an NGO founded in 2010 to preserve and protect the environment of the Turks & Caicos Islands. It was on a routine dive that Alizee discovered a rare coral disease affecting the beautiful reefs of TCI – which then led her on an incredible journey to saving them.

Self-taught and self-propelled, Alizee is now the Executive Director of the TCReef Fund. She embodies what it means to be the change and is a beautiful example of what we care most about is often the gateway to our purpose and calling. https://www.tcreef.org

  • Just when you thought it was safe to go outside...Omicron

Just when you thought it was safe to go outside…Omicron knocked on our door.

In what felt like two weeks, this new Covid variant has reeked havoc on our societal systems and left nearly all of us in a state of confusion. With 1 in 4 New Yorkers contracting the variant –including the triple vaccinated – how do we protect ourselves?

Today on Be the Change I am honored to have on Dr. Daniel Griffin to help us navigate this maze.

Dr. Griffin is the Chief of the Infectious Disease Division at ProHEALTH NY, an Infectious Disease Specialist at Columbia University

and President of Parasites Without Borders. Dr. Griffin's research career started at Memorial Sloan Kettering more than two decades ago and has focused on Cancer, Infectious Disease and Immunology. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and active in the clinical care of patients living in the New York area as well as immigrants and travelers with a multitude of different infectious diseases.

You can listen to Dr. Griffin weekly on the podcast TWiV at https://www.microbe.tv, https://parasiteswithoutborders.com and on Twitter @DanielGriffinMD

  • Are the Kids Really Alright?

There is so much action and effort to get kids vaccinated and back in to school for their mental health – but who is tending to the mental wounds they suffered from being home the past year and a half? Do parents and guardians even see it?

Today I am joined by Seth Kritzman – Adjunct instructor at Fordham GSE and New York City Guidance Counselor for a Public Middle School in Manhattan. He and his colleagues see first-hand the effects the isolation has had on our children. And there is a great concern this will be a scar they carry with them for years to come.

How can we help them adjust? What will a future society look like led by children of the pandemic? and is it really a good idea to continue a work from home policy? These are just a few of the questions we will touch on today.

  • Smaller Families for a Sustainable Future
As of today – every alternative energy source requires a fossil fuel to make.
Wind Turbines are made primarily of steel – and as of today – steel can only be made by using coal. Electric cars require electricity – which is generated mainly from coal. Solar panels? They too also require fossil fuels to make. Today’s podcast may not be what we want to hear, but it may be what we need to hear.
Co-creator of the NGO Fair Start Movement and Author of “Justice as a Fair Start in Life: Understanding the Right to Have Children.” Carter Dillard joins me today to discuss human fertility and how planning our families is probably the quickest way to reduce poverty and bring balance and equality back to society and our planet. • Turning your No's into a YES!

What do you do when life reroutes your path? Instead of taking a right – it turns the wheel hard to the left.

Your car crashes, literally and figuratively.

My next guest says you turn that NO – into a YES.

Certified Life and Health coach and Motivational Speaker - Jill Hollander has had more than enough experience in Nos. From the loss of a parent at 15, the diagnosis of heart failure at 16, heart surgery at 18 and chemotherapy in her 30s –no matter how many times she faced an obstacle, Jill never let her situation define or stop her from finding a way to say YES! Jill shares with us some of her tools and strategies to help us find our YES and be the change in our own personal challenges. www.jillhollander.com Want to work with Jill? • Protecting Pollinators with Legislation

Developed in the 1990s - Neonicotinoids or “Neonics” are the most widely used pesticides used in agriculture around the world today. Thought to be a safer pesticide, we now know they contribute to bee colony collapse, have decimated fish farms, contaminated water and are a known neurotoxin to humans. One seed treated with this pesticide will kill a small bird. If you have eaten anything non organic - you have ingested this pesticide.

Today I am speaking with the Acting Director of NRDC’s Pollinator Initiative, Dan Raichel and Dr. Kathleen Nolan, pediatrician and Co Founder and Director of Concerned Health Professionals of New York. We will discuss why it is crucial to our health and future generations that we ban neonics once and for all and how you can be a part of it by getting The Birds and Bees Protection Act passed in NY State.

  • Life-scaping instead of Landscaping

How do we start the change to partner with nature instead of trying to control it? Could it be as simple as how we landscape?

    My next guest thinks so.

Monique Allen is the founder and creative director of the Award-Winning Garden Continuum – a landscape design and gardening company. With a resume that includes not just homes, but commercial landscape, municipal park development and flood plain restoration, Monique has taken her work to words with her recent book “Stop Landscaping, Start Life-scaping.”

Today she shares with us how planning and creating a landscape that is in harmony with nature, will translate to harmony in our home life.
