Environmentalists are known for their passion. Millions have marched, thousands skipped school in protest and organizations like Sunrise Movement are pushing policy on the US Presidential candidates - but are they actually voting?
In the 2016 election nearly 10.1million self-described environmentalists did not vote. 10.1 million!
This shocking statistic is what moved my next guest to get organized and get people voting. Nathaniel Stinnett is the Founder and Executive Director of EVP – the Environmental Voter Project – with one simple goal – get environmentalists to vote.

In 2013, my next guest found herself in Mumbai in a $37 dollar hotel room with $10,000 in prize money she won 2 days earlier.
Her goal? – to save lives with a bar of soap. That was 7 years ago and she hasn’t looked back since.
Erin Zaikis is the Founder of The Sundara Fund– a non-profit organization who has helped thousands of humans learn and receive the tools to have proper hygiene. Along with soap, she has employed women long considered unemployable – widows, single moms and those sexual abused or assaulted – giving them real jobs, with a livable wage. And did I mention she is just 30?
An undeniable change maker – Erin shares with us today how one person can indeed make a difference.

Growing up, Mohammed Faisal moved around a lot. Originally from Bangladesh, his family arrived in Queens when he was three. With constant rent increases and his Father’s bad credit, the family of 6 couldn’t afford to stay in one home. This was his first experience with the power of financial literacy.
After graduating college, Mohammed decided to solve the lack of financial knowledge plaguing disadvantaged neighborhoods and in 2016 he created The Money Hub. The Money Hub has since helped over 4000 public school kids all across New York City. Giving them a powerful understanding of how to obtain financial security.
In this episode of #BeTheChange, Mohammed and I speak about his work with Money Hub and why an early education in money management for our children is imperative to creating financial equality in their adult lives.

You probably know about the insurmountable amount of plastic packaging in school lunches, and for most of us the idea of tackling this problem feels bigger than the daily piles of waste it creates. Courtney Elizabeth Bauer has spent her life understanding every innuendo of the body. She translated this body of work into a method entitled Anya. Through using a series of techniques, such as ‘micro-movements’ for alignment, energy work, and feeling their bones — people using this method re-balance their bodies, and connect with their innate energy system. The method brings a voice to the body, providing information for the user to heal and create a personal relationship between the body and mind. Today we will discuss Courtney’s path to this calling, how the metaphysical is imprinted into our body and nature and how in the time of the Covid virus it crucial we begin our own personal investigation into our own healing powers.
