  • Lighting up Chinatown

Patrick Mock is a hero here in New York City and a hero of mine.

Before Covid became a daily concern in our lives, he saw the devastation in his own community.

As early as January of 2020, Chinatown NYC had already seen a revenue drop by 70 percent due to hatred and falsehoods spread by the Trump administration.

With unpaid rent and no end in sight and the loss of a beloved parent, Patrick had every right to only think of his own survival, but instead he took the opportunity to help and heal his community.

He is a perfect example of how one human can make a difference and embodies the words Be The Change.

If you would like to donate to Patrick’s efforts you can Venmo him @Mott-46 or just show up at 46 Mott St. at 6pm to help prep and deliver meals during the week. Patrick is on Instagram @Patricknvrsleeps

  • The Roots of a Sustainable Company

How do we create businesses that serve the community as much as they serve their shareholders?

    Is conscious capitalism even possible?

Anna-Maja Björkenvall, CEO of LXMI is creating a new retail structure. One that supports and protects indigenous cultures, is renewable and sustainable and empowers women. And it all started with a rare shea butter called Nilotica.

  • Is your Home Safe from Climate Change?

It is no surprise the current covid 19 pandemic has led many to relocate.Cost of living, job opportunities, schools, access to nature and quality of life are all things considered.

But what about a 3 degree temperature increase in the Summer?

Fires that will be a yearly occurrence? Hurricanes? Loss of coastline and un-farmable land?

Today Bernadette Woods Placky, an Emmy Award winning meteorologist and director of Climate Central's Climate Matters program Joins me to discuss how climate should and will be playing a role in where we choose to live and why we should plan for this now.

  • Why Treat When You Can Prevent?

The only thing more upsetting than a child with chronic or life threatening disease, is knowing that the disease was entirely preventable.

Toxic chemicals and air pollution have caused dramatic increases in asthma, ADHD and even cancer in our children and all of these toxins can be eliminated or regulated. So why don’t we?

Dr. Bruce Lanphear is on a mission to not just answer this question for us – but to make sure every parent is armed with this potentially life saving information. Today he joins me to discuss why prevention is constantly taking a back seat to treatment and how WE the public can demand this changes.

Prepare to be shocked, angered and empowered and ready to take action. https://littlethingsmatter.ca/

  • In Our Own Backyard

Many of our conversations are focused on reparations for the past horrors of slavery and rightfully so, but did you know that human slavery is still a very real thing today?

According to the United Nations – between 20 to 40 million people are in some form of human trafficking with many cases happening here in the United States. And the majority are children.

Today's guest experienced this first-hand in the city of Sacramento and has been working on ending Human Trafficking since 2008.

Ashlie Bryant, CEO and Co-Founder of 3 Strands Global Foundation, joins us today to share her story and mission to end human slavery.

This is a difficult and sensitive conversation. However I hope you stay with us – as keeping our heads in the sand will not end it.

  • No Rules Nutrition

We are all familiar with going to a Doctor when we are sick, but why don’t we go to the Doctor to stay well?

Megan Adams Brown is not just a holistic health coach, but food detective. She looks at your blood tests, your diet and your disease and creates a plan for optimal health and wellness.

After years of thyroid issues, she was able to bring my energy levels up – with food – in one day. Of course this knowledge came from her own battle with an auto immune disease.

Today we will discuss food as medicine, what makes her such an incredible food intuitive and how we can practice this for ourselves. https://meganadamsbrown.com/

Justin Anderson is a bright light on Instagram – with nearly 400,000 followers – he uses his influence and blue check for good.

    How do I know this?

I was personally touched by his kindness and my business flourished – by one mention – literally overnight.

Today I am honored to speak with Justin. To thank him for all he has done for me, to find out how he stays so humble in Hollywood and what inspires him to be such a force for good. Find Justin on Instagram @justinanderson

Who knew 2020 was going to be a year of great change, growth and upheaval? Astrologers did.

While it may have been a surprise for most, those who follow astrology knew that we were set for a revolution.

Juliana McCarthy - Astrologer and Author of “The Stars Within You” - joins me to discuss how we can use astrology as a tool to navigate these uncertain times and use the energy of the planets to bring forth the change we seek.

  • Justice for Matthew Rushin

The conversation you are about to hear is with Lavern Rushin, Mother of Matthew Rushin, who as of today is serving a 10 year prison sentence for a car accident. Car accidents are not a crime for most of us, but like we have seen in so many cases right now – when you are a young Black man and living with autism as Matthew is – the rights and protections of society do not apply to you.

Please listen and take action for Matthew’s immediate release.

You can find who to call and email on Instagram @justice4matthewrushin

  • A World Without Cancer

1 in 3 persons will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. And while deaths from cancer is going down, new diagnoses are on the increase – with 70% being environmentally caused. That means our food, our air and the products we use on our bodies are causing us to get this horrific disease.

My next guest wrote one of the most compelling books I have read on not just how we get cancer, but what is preventing us from finding a cure and eradicating this insidious disease.

Dr. Margaret Cuomo is the author of “A World Without Cancer” and today she shares with us how we can break this decades long chain of disease and what we can do in our own homes to create a cancer free world.
