We’re not present.
With our lives, other people, ourselves.
If we’re being honest, most of us don’t know how to be present in the moment.
And, for some of us, we don’t want to be. There are times when our present moment is steeped in emotional pain, trauma and truths we aren’t wanting to see—so, of course, we disconnect from presence.
Learning how to come back to presence is a process, especially when it hasn’t felt safe to be present in the moment.
There are a lot of benefits to bringing presence back into your life. One, in particular, is being present supports in the processing of your emotional pain and moving forward.
When you aren’t present, you stuff your pain and keep yourself in cycles of coping that aren’t supportive. When you safely come back to yourself and the present moment, you can fully attune to your needs and facilitate intentional processing.
And finally. let. that. shit. go.
