I have a talk in the kitchen with my daughter as I make ground meat for her lunch: "taco" [the American way hehe] -- I get distracted (AS ALWAYS) --- Amelia (my 5 year old) and I talk about why we eat animals, I talk about "GAME CHANGERS"....dive into my beliefs on why it is okay to eat animals and how I am FAR from an extreme Vegan/Vegetarian....Also, I talk about our "Trip" to some farms (for a play date) and as I say "we 'looked' at cows.
* PSA: This is a RAW, unscripted recording., I realized I said something that didn't make sense, so to correct myself:
What I said: "skipping the animal and going to the protein source" - I meant, "skipping the middle man (the animal) and consuming vegetation and converting it to protein for our body"
What I said: “I’m competing to compete in a competition” – I meant “ I am training to compete in a competition”
Hopefully as I do this more, I will be more impeccable with my words when I go unscripted!
p.s. DON’T judge me: I am not ignorant… I am aware of the terms:
# Veganism is the belief in the impossible, a quest in perhaps many of man’s follies to pursue a life free of suffering. It is the belief in autonomy, minimizing our forceful dependency on creatures with blood and brain. It is the belief in equality of humans, and minimizing the expenditures of haves versus have nots.
# Vegetarianism is the practice of abstaining from the consumption of meat (red meat, poultry, seafood, and the flesh of any other animal), and may also include abstention from by-products of animal slaughter. Vegetarianism may be adopted for various reasons. Many people object to eating meat out of respect for sentient life.
