  • Meet me at BELIEF s28e21 Jn3:16

The place where your very earthly quotidian life meets the holy, sovereign, eternal God is at the point of belief. The stakes are high. Perishing is a possibility, but so is eternal life. The object of our belief of course is determinative. The Good news is that amidst all of this belief is possible. It is not out of reach, but likely will stretch us considerably.

For today, let us pray, "Lord meet me at belief." For tomorrow, please subscribe and comment.

  • You are not going to like this. s28e17 Jn2:24

A relationship with God is a two way street.  You know God which is awesome and wonderful and beneficial.  The bad news is that He also knows us.  We are not perfect and have an evil streak to say the least.

When God figures that out and sees our unholiness, what does He do? When He knows we are evil, what does He do? When we see that we are evil, what do we do? This may be a podcast that you won't like the truth in it. Subscribe, because there is good news coming tomorrow.

  • Is God here? Where does He live? s28e16 Jn2:13

Does God dwell here on the earth? If so, where and how exactly.

Watch Jesus throw out all the old understandings of this and point directly at Himself.

Here in just Chapter 2 of John, He refers to a destruction and then being raised in three days.  He's done one miracle so far and He's already putting a spotlight on his death and resurrection.

  • The Lord Saw me and I didn’t know it s28e14 Jn1:43

There is divine activity all around us.  What if God SEES us and KNOWS us? Well, it is true, He does. Our problem is we don't often see that He is doing perfect seeing. "opps, the Lord SAW ME, and I didn't know it."

Watch the story of Nathaniel's introduction to Jesus.  He gets a big kick in the head of spiritual insight, and it just floors him.  Then subscribe to this channel. Thanks.

  • Who has naming rights to ME? s28e13 Jn1:42

Wouldn't it be cool to meet God and have Him give you a new name?  It happens to Peter right at the beginning of their relationship.  Peter hadn't even expressed any hint of belief yet.  God says to the biggest knucklehead of the Bible: You are ROCK. You will grow strong and solid. It is such a wonderful gift from God to see Peter in this way, even before it happens.

  • How do you say, “Jesus Christ!”? s28e12 Jn1:41

The phrase, "Jesus Christ!" is often used as an obscenity. Christ is the Greek word for the office of messiah or anointed one. Swearing takes the Person, Jesus and His office, Christ (anointed one or messiah) and uses it as a verbal atrocity.

Oh that we'd be more like Andrew who was the first to get this association RIGHT. The awaited one has NOW COME. The page from OT anticipating to NT experiencing is now turned. Let's respectfully, and rightly say with him, "Jesus Christ!"
